This application calculates few useful parameters of Sun as it is visible from Earth. It uses date, time and location on Earth to determine solar position on the sky hemisphere. This information in turn is used to display simple solar compass and few other parameters:

Sun Rise Time - sun rise time (sunup if the sun never sets, sundown if it never rises - these situations can happen above Arctic Circle - latitude higher than 66.55 deg, or below Antarctic Circle - latitude lower than -66.55 deg)
Sun Set Time - sun set time. See ''Sun Rise Time'' above for description of exceptional situations
Day of Year - number of the day in the year
Sun Azimuth - azimuth of Sun in degrees. North - 0, East - 90 , South - 180, West - 270
Sun Elevation - elevation of Sun in degrees. Horizon level - 0, up - 90
Sun Elevation (cor.) - elevation of Sun in degrees, corrected for atmospheric refraction of light (light refraction causes Sun to appear in slightly different position than it really is)
Sun Zenith - zenith angle of Sun. Horizon level - 90, up - 0
Sun Zenith (cor.) - zenith angle of Sun, corrected for atmospheric refraction
